Structure Fire - 503 Miller
April 21, 2005

On 4-21-05 the Kemah Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Miller Ave. in West Kemah. Seabrook and League City fire departments where requested to respond mutual aide. Upon arrival, Engine-41 found a one story structure with heavy fire coming from side one. E-41 firefighter Peter Leggio pulled an 1 3/4" hose to the front of the house and was joined by Lt. Greg Yount. Lt. Dean Smith charged the hose line and a good knock down was made from the exterior. After knocking the fire down Yount and Leggio entered the structure and knocked down the remaining fire in the kitchen and living room. Seabrook firefighters stretched a hose line to the rear of the structure and began fire attack to the rear and searched the bedrooms. League City firefighters assisted with fire knock down in the attic and overhaul throughout the structure. Nassau Bay Fire Department assisted with overhaul and assisted with make-ready. Thanks to all for their help.
