Assistant Chief

• Assist Chief with overall operation of the Fire Department

• Assume command in the absence of the Chief

• Establish and maintain preplans for the Fire District

• Assist establishing a yearly budget with Chief

• Assist in maintaining records of Inspections

• Promoting public safety programs for the Fire District and Fire Safety Program

• Assume and assist in suppression as needed

• Assist in the Chain of Command duties as needed

• In the absence of the Chief, act as the Public Information Officer (PIO)

Station Captain

• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief in operation of the Kemah Fire Department

• Maintain all Fire Apparatus (Suppression and Support)

• Maintain all records of maintenance on all vehicles using FireHouse Software

• Propose an annual budget for maintenance on all vehicles

• Develop a maintenance program for all Fire Department vehicles

• Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance using FireHouse Software

• Assume command responsibilities when needed

• Assume suppression role when needed

• Maintain Station-1 and all related records using FireHouse Software

• Order all equipment for all apparatus or the station

• Includes all electronic equipment used by the Kemah Fire Dept.

Station Lieutenant

• Assist Station Captain with his duties

• Assume command when needed

• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief with operations of the Kemah Fire Department

• Assume suppression role when needed

Training Captain

• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief with over all operation of the Kemah Fire Dept.

• Maintain all training records using FireHouse Software

• Establish a credited training program for SFFMA or Texas Commission On Fire Protection

• Maintain all PPE and monitor issuance of such gear and uniforms

• Maintain records on PPE using FireHouse Software

• Propose an annual budget for Training, PPE, and Uniforms

• Purchase all Uniforms, PPE, and Training programs for the Kemah Fire Department

Training Lieutenant

• Assist Training Captain with his duties

• Assume command when needed

• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief with operations of the Kemah Fire Department

• Assume suppression role when needed

• Establish and maintain Medical Training for all First Responder Personnel

• Establishing maintaining all medical training records in Fire House

• Establish training programs that achieve EMT-Basic certification with in one year enrollment of the Kemah Fire Dept.

Safety Officer

• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief in operations of the Fire Dept.

• Maintain and establish a Safety Operational Plan for the Kemah Fire Department and associated agencies

• Investigate all accidents that result in injury or property damage from operations of the department, regardless of whether or not the injury or damage occurred on fire department property

• Assume command when needed

• Assist in safety operations in surrounding agencies, as approved by the Fire Chief

• Assume fire suppression role as needed

• Maintain all records related to incident to be reviewed by the Fire Chief on semi-annual basis

Marine Captain

• Maintain all marine operations

• Maintain all portable equipment related to marine operations

• Establish a Marine response with area agencies, with approval of the Fire Chief

• Propose a annual budget for marine operation and the growth of this division

• Establish guidelines for response and certification of personnel ( basic boater safety class required ) approved by the Fire Chief

• Maintain all radio equipment for the fire department

• Propose a budget for radio equipment and maintain inventory and records using FireHouse Software

• Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief with operation of the Fire Department
