Small Boat and Marina Fires
Presented by Sponsored by Contact
The first part of this seminar will examine an actual case study
of a Ten Million Dollar Marina fire to discuss what went wrong and what actions
proved beneficial.
In part two we look at boat fires while the boat is underway or
at anchor. How will you get to the fire? Should you get to the fire? We will
look at the features of some small fireboats that can be inexpensively put into
service and discuss what you can do if you don’t have a fireboat.
Tom Guldner of The Marine Firefighting Institute will conduct the
seminar. Tom is a recently retired Lieutenant from the FDNY Marine Division
where he acted as the Training officer for the Marine Division as well as
Fireboat officer. Tom holds a Coast Guard license as a Ships Master and he is a
certified instructor in New York State and nationally. His lecture combined with
the extensive use of photos and graphics in this multi-media presentation will
keep your interest in addition to instructing your members about this important
topic. The Marine Firefighting Institute
